Collection VIII

Collection VIII was inspired by a broken key with a cutout clover symbol we found on the street. The lost key drew us to a poetic, mysterious and playful universe of signs, symbols, doors and openings and became the starting point of our new collection. We designed a series of broken keys, containing the completing card suit symbols, and tried to imagine a keychain that could hold these keys. The keychain appears as an actual element in this collection, but also guided us conceptually throughout the design process. We were inspired by the way in which different elements accumulate on a keychain over time, creating random and unexpected compositional connections, gaining sentimental value through years of usage. This collection welds together two worlds which were embodied in the key we found - a romantic, playful world of fantasy, derived from the card deck, and a world of everyday technical elements, found in the key itself. This collection includes pieces made out of sterling silver, freshwater pearls, mother of pearl, and natural gemstones.
